Journal

Hi,

In this class, we focused on giving attention and having the kids actually trying to understand and watch our video. In order to measure that, we will count all the kids that don't play attention to our video, convert the number into percentages, and will show it to everyone in our class.  If we make a video we will probably narrate the video to help explain it better.

Our problem is that since they are kids, they will easily be distracted if we watch from inside the room. Also, if they know that we are watching them, they will pretend to watch it and we won't be able to figure out how many kids are interested. Our teacher Mr. Dominic, gave us two options.
1) To place a camera on the window and secretly record
2) To hide and record
3) To hide and secretly look at them

The first one has the advantage of having less of a chance to get attention. But very observant students who might notice might stare at it. But, we might try to make is less obvious to be seen.

The second option has an advantage of clearer results. If we look with my eyes I can find results that the camera might have missed. But we might get caught staring and the kids will look at us.

The third option has the advantage of the kids noticing us while watching the video because some kids feels when someone is watching them and we could be seen.

Well, we should choose option 1,2 or 3 to count percentage of kids during design class.
Then, our group fixed more of our video to make better of it, and in class we shared it and other students too. Also, by teams, our class shared what things we can do to make better of our cartoon and what things might be if kids watch it successfully.

So, this was very helpful to make better of our cartoon. We should always put our efforts to make our cartoon better, so that children can enjoy and act like video (no online bullying).

Thank you and bye~
